Was a very descriptive person, He enjoyed letting people know that he didn't mind lending a hand to help. I like the fact that he wife would always nag and it was like he would keep blowing her off, but every time another woman or something would ask him to do something he would do it. Rip would also never take credit for what he does on his on just what people ask him to do. The reason I think that Rip Van Wrinkle story relates so much to romanticism is because his everyday life would just be so normal and he would go the extra mile and imagine it as being so amazing and beautiful. He fell asleep by drinking the Holland liquor. If you were an ractionalist and you were trying to figue out the concept of this story I do not believe they would like it very much because they are so used to figuring things out through logics that they wouldn't like the fact of figuring out through their imagination. The story is based on imagination. For example. the elf's with imaginary liquor and being asleep for 18 years and not dying.
Thanatopsis
To me the poem is talking about not being afraid of death, it was telling you some of the beautiful memories in the world when you die. It gives great details about when connecting with the readers so they can feel what mother nature is saying while she is expressing the reasons you should not be scared of death. I love the point she made when she said everybody is going to the same place including kings. The reason this poem relates so much to the romanticism is because it using death and makes it seem so beautiful and fearless.
“The Ropewalk”
I think that this poem is talking about the beauty of nature in another form of your imagination. The author is using his boring jobs and using his imagination to dream of something more interesting. For instance, Then within a prison-yard,Faces fixed, and stern, and hard, Laughter and indecent mirth;Ah! it is the gallows-tree!Breath of Christian charity, Blow, and sweep it from the earth! He was saying that all the people in the prison yard were being hung. Therefore they were referring the prisoners to the rope from the job which he is working at. It relates to the romanticism because it is using his indoor job to this outside scenery to the prisoners
The Painting
I think this picture is showing the beautiful look of nature through the eyes of the brightness. Its like they are looking through the white to see the beauty on the inside of the picture. This picture leaves roo
m for a million imaginary scerny to be formed.I chose this picture because it shows the nature of outdoors as the people walk the ground and work in the trees.
